09 Cadillac CTS or 09 Audi A4? What do you guys think and why?

The new Audi's are pretty cars. Except for the rear lights on some models, it looks very sturdy and stanced. Steering wheel will do with some upgrade, and touch screen along with knob controls will also be great. I will be going to the San Jose/Silicon Valley International Auto Show today and more days. Audi will definitely be one of the luxury brands I will check out, along with Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes.

only he's not talking about the 80's, he's talking about what happened recently...audi has a pretty bad reputation among many who have owned them.

If you can afford a extremely unreliable car so called audi a4 just for a minute of luxury, be advised. Yes I admit, the car looks good and the german engineering sounds appealing, and people keep falling in the same hole and regret last one. You know audi is one of the most unreliable cars out there along with other american ones.

I understand what you are saying about parents when it comes to Audis. Back in the 80's, Audi's reputation wasnt that great and very unreliable. But older people need to understand that times have changed and reputations do turn around. Audi is the future of luxury, modern cars! Not Mercedes anymore!

if it's your money then by all means you should be able to buy what you want

This is such a beautiful car! Unfortunately, My parents just had a pretty bad experience with and Audi, making it kind of hard to buy one myself:-(

...but the worst of all was the sound. I had to rev nuts off it, change gear and then it went like dig - dig - dig - dig-digdigdididididig. I've never seen so bad Volkswagen or Peugeot diesel engine.

Some call IS an overpriced Camry but I generally like it. With petrol engines, it's not fast, not very economical, but it's very quiet. On the other hand, I drove the diesel version the other day and I could not believe what I was seeing, or better to say hearing. I've seen numerous commercials where Toyota boasted about their clean diesel technology but this one was rubbish. There was a turbo lag, the acceleration was bad considering only average fuel consumtion....

The IS is a "me too" car. Audi, BMW and Merc have concentrated on each other when competing in the sport sedan catagory. Lexus didn't really have one until the IS came out in `99 where it regularly under performs against its European counter parts.
