To answer your question zephranna01, politicians gain and the economy. For example, World War 2, producing ships, tanks, planes and other machinery pulled the country out of the Great Depression. Everyone had a job. This also includes farmers in WW2 who were being paid a shitload for providing for the army. Also in a time of war and panic politicians with "the answer" will gain public support. However I'm not sure if I believe the conspiracy theroies. We aren't gaining economically at all.
